Many years (more then I’d care to admit) ago, my husband, then boyfriend, used to complain whenever I painted my nails. He would swear up and down that anything that smelled so bad, couldn’t possibly be healthy to use. Of course I did what any sane and rational woman would do, I asked Dr. Google, and dammit, if the man wasn’t right (you know…for once…love you baby).
Thus began my gradual descent into madness, also known as substituting out all the toxic (but pretty) cosmetics to ones that wouldn’t assuredly give my future children third eyes or tentacles (Dr. Google isn’t ALWAYS right). I had tried sooo many nail polishes, from water based, to “non-toxic” children’s peel off with a gamut of disappointing results. They’ve either clumped, didn’t stick, messed up my nails, or chipped the second I so much as sneezed.
Once again, Honeybee Gardens has become my true love. I recently ordered their Water Colors nail polish in Fairy Dust which is a shimmery light pink and oh so pretty. The polish went on very smooth and evenly and made my sad and neglected little tootsies, look happy again. There is no odor whatsoever and all the ingredients are very safe and nontoxic. The best part is you can remove it with either Honeybee Gardens’ nail polish remover, rubbing alcohol, or vodka should your freezer have more party favors in it then mine does (it is all breast milk and popsicles in mine).
They have a plethora of gorgeous colors and I can’t wait to try more of them. Definitely give Honeybee Gardens a try the next time you find yourself looking for a little pretty on your nails.
